Buell Motorcycle is a motorcycle company in East Troy, Wisconsin, America. In 1983, Erik Buell found the company. Later on, in 1993, the famous Harley-Davidson acquired 49% of Buell, thus delegating it to a subsidiary company. On October 15, 2009, Harley-Davidson announced the discontinuation of the Buell product line – this was done so that it could focus solely on its main range. The last Buell motorcycle was produced on October 30, 2009 – however, Erik Buell founded the Erik Buell Racing in November 2009, an independent company that manufactured only race ready versions of the 1125R models.
